Happy Place! Happy Place! Quick!

How does one deal with another two feet of heavy, wet snow? Or that the winds will be kicking up and drifting the snow, making life difficult tonight? How does one cleanse from loads of irregular operations at work since the state had trouble plowing the runway? Hmmmm.....

How about a retreat into a happy place? Like the Columbia River on a gorgeous summer day?

Perhaps Pawley's Island in South Carolina with warm water and happy kiddos?

Or a gorgeous sunset at Huntington Beach State Park in South Carolina? Do you hear all the birds? The egrets, herons, ibises, painted buntings and prothonotary warblers? Can you smell the humidity and fecundity of the tide lands? Ahhhh....that's better.

Or, maybe continuing the Ohio travelog, as promised April 1 -- "And there is more to come, because after we were at Auntie Liz's house we drove all the way to Marietta! Yeehaw!" I know we aren't all that exciting (not like Siberia burning & all), but there was your trip out to see Julie Z. Sorry the interesting birds were shy that day, tho.

I expected some lousy weather this weekend, but not this. I'll go to any one of those happy places.

That beach shot is wonderful. I am now almost 4 hours away from Atlantic beaches after living 50 years so close to the beach... I miss it.

So sorry that you got dumped with all that crazy white stuff again so late in the season, Trixie. Glad you didn't keep you and your family from getting out and about. Let's hope it all melts soon and you can get on with springtime.

How nice to see short sleeves and happy faces with green foliage and non-frozen water in the background!

I feel your pain Trixie--all my pretty, new short sleeved shirts are still sitting all folded up and waiting for spring to arrive. Maybe next week?????

Liza Lee -- these are just cleansing shots, we went to these places last summer.

Ruthie J -- I heard you got some heavy weather. Maybe we will find spring? Maybe!

Oh, Trixie,
Thank goodness for our memories--of warmer places and smiling faces.
Hang on!
