Oh Downy Boy
Sorry for the ambient noise in the background. The water noise is the fish tank needing a re-charge. Our downy boy has been the only regular at the feeder this week. I am not sure where the chickadees are. Neither the boreals nor the black-caps have been visiting since the wind. Hmmmm.....

The chickadees are in town though. Along with the waxwings and a few other.
From that vantage point, he looks like he is suspended in space.
Brrrrrrr. The chickadees will be back. Maybe the winds took them over the hill for a little while.
Hey-I don't know if anyone else noticed but that's a talking woodpecker! Thanks for the video.-I would like to see one of a Boreal Chickadee some time because that's a bird that I've had no luck finding.
We have been in the teen temperatures the past few nights! Love hearing you talk at the end and I think we have heard the fish tank in some of your other post!
How in the heck does a bird stay warm in that climate? And for that matter, how do humans do it? Are you all crazy???
