Boo Brothers

We have been very busy with preparations for Halloween. The pumpkin on the left is of Vivi's design but Daddy's execution. She was great with all the slimy parts. In fact, I think she quite enjoyed dealing the the pumpkin guts.

Zoey designed and carried out her work of art. She calls it the Jack-a-polka-lantern. You may not instantly spot the polka dots she put in with a melon baller. It was very fun around that house that night. Cojo was hoping for some pumpkin droppings. I'm not sure what she would have thought of them had she gotten any.

Yesterday Zoey was having a resurgence of ear pain, so she laid down with a hot water bottle. Vivi and I wanted to do something to make her feel better. And what could be better than cookies? I had super-special assistant Vivi in the kitchen. We even talked about halves and wholes as we measured.

And our downy boy has been visiting at both sides of the house. I really enjoy watching him at the feeder. It looks like he might not like to share too much.

I think cookies make "everything" better! Love the pumpkins artwork!

What a fun post, Trixie. It looks like there's never a dull moment at your house--inside or out!

What kind of spinning wheel is that? What do you like better: spinning or knitting? I've tried spinning, but never pursued it because I think it would be addictive also and then I wouldn't have enough time for knitting.

I have a Lendrum. Ohhh...it is one sweet and easy to use wheel.

I love both spinning and knitting. They take different states of mind. When I am spinning, I am usually working something out. I find it really meditative. It can also be very social. That is a really portable wheel so I can take it to a friends house and hang out. That is a blast. Then I can usually get pointers since I am a beginning spinner. Knitting goes to work for the down time and knitting goes to bed for when I cannot sleep. So far what I have been spinning is best for felting. Hopefully, I will get better. Now I am dreaming of dyeing. Shucks...I will need like a crafting wing of the house soon. LOL!

Oh Trixie, your comment just made me laugh. Years ago, I went to a knitting conference with some friends. We all stayed together in one room and one of the girls said, "get your knitting and we can knit in bed and watch TV." I was horrified....I had never even thought about knitting in bed before that time. Now I also knit in bed when I can't sleep. After a few rows, I'm relaxed enough to turn out the light and head back to dreamland.

Nice pix's. Glad to see you still have lots of bird activity going on besides all of the other activity.
